Napa to Sacramento

Monday June 14th

From Napa to Sacramento – The California state capitol with ARNOLD!
So it was quite the ride today with Rudy, Alex Walcott & Dave Sarrett. The first 30 miles were all through the mountains and extremely hilly. We had a pretty nice sleep at the Best Western but as it was a hotel and we only had 30 minutes to get ready we were late and had to wake up 30 minutes early in Sacramento.

Some of the down hills were to die for. Thank God I got my stem tightened later in the day because I was riding down them earlier around 38 mph and I thought I was going to DIE!! Never been so scared before.

Once we arrived in Sacramento we had an AMAZING subway lunch with root beer and popsicles from our gracious sponsors Emilie, Mark and Harris Cashtan, both men who had rode JOH in 09 & 07.

We arrived at the California State Capitol and got interviewed by the channel 7 news. Hahaha so we went into the capitol building in our jerseys and shammys & pranced into the secretary office of ARNOLD SCHWARTZNEGAR and tried as HARD as we could to talk to him & HE WAS THERE!!! We were literally in the same group of rooms as the Govornator!

We went to the FV at the South Side Arts Center & ate some pizza & dance while they preformed in their band for us. It was really nice. I love these guys.
