Shout-Outs to my awesome GSU group members

I wrote this on the plane ride home from Madrid while I was drinking in 1st class...
So I apologize in advanced for any raw, uncut material.   ;]

Noreen
It was a pleasure spending the past 2 months with you. You are always such a positive, energetic person and it is quite contagious. You always make the mood lighter and put smiles on peoples faces. You personally went out of your way to include me and each time you did I noticed it. It was great watching you grow as a Spanish speaker and as a person in our class together. I knew as soon as we had the assignment that it was going to be a good summer of classes. Don’t ever stop being the awesome person you are.
Love, David

Kelcie
Ohhhh Kecie. You are all that and then some. You love coordinating events and making decisive moves that influence everyone. No study abroad trip is as good without someone like you. You know what you want and you get it. Sorry you didn’t find a novio in Spain but personally I don’t think they were nearly Southern or classy enough for you. (Terms do go hand in hand)
It was the most selfless thing of you to give your earned superlative away to the 2nd place person just because you felt obligated since you organized the WHOLE thing. I can’t wait to see you in America and Frat hard all over Atlanta.
Love you, David

Hannah
If someone were to look at us two together; a skinny white boy and a cute, afro’d out girl they’d never suspect we’d develop such a good relationship. From the beginning I was intrigued by you and stimulated by our conversations. You are one of those kinda people who can conversate with anyone and come out of it learning something. Your hair, I can’t get enouch of it. Never lose the fro. I hope to see you in Atlanta.

Sarah
You are an inspiration. Not only are you Mexican and gorgeous, you are equally brilliant. It was my pleasure loaning you my USB cable where the group was pleasured with your miraculously photographs. I never once saw you without a smile on your face and even for some reason you weren’t in the best mood you NEVER let it get others down. Going to Parque Gracia Lorca with you and Dorothy in the beginning of the trip was such a pleasure. You two with your mind blowing Spanish skills assisted me greatly. It was great hearing you speak and getting teary eyed with the group at our last dinner.
Thank you, I love yah. David

Gabby
Ohhhh gabby gabby gabby. That bitch came up with HASTE! I may be tall but I’m scrappy. You were the wit and soul of the group. You were the Buddha, Confucius, Gandhi of the group. I tried to write down all the funny shit you said on the trip but I ran out of memory on my computer. Knowing Will Dove as a mutual friend was a great way for us to get an idea of our personalities. You never skipped a beat and were always a bad bitch. I got tired of you always calling yourself a refuge because you were flaca, morena y guapa. “This ain’t my first rodeo.” Good venting talks in the park. GREAT purchases. Using the wind to find the destination. “I smell like cigerettes and shame!” so freakin hilarious. We had a blast a chupateria that night.

Meagan
The most southern, country and down to earth girl ever. At first I was merely entertained by your accent. That shit is down and profound. Then we discovered your hiccup. Meg, it makes you, you. Don’t let any overly loud/insulting persons (Caitlin) make you feel bad about it They’re just jealous. It’s awesome you went to BARCELONA all by yourself. How impressive. Can’t wait to see you back in the United States.

Kara
I fucking love you. You were my main jam. I always had fun eating meals with you and crackin’ jokes at the dinner table. You always made me feel good and appreciated. Our last dinner sitting together in Seville was soo much fun. (“DB, I think it’s a magnum… Kara: “it would be”. (Referencing a gargantuan botella de vino at the restaurant. …It sucks we argued in Granada about some stupid chocolate…I’m glad we got to experience it the last night on the rooftop terrace. I’m glad you go to see your boyfriend halfway through the trip, we were all jealous you got to see your significant other and relieve that frustration. I feel like it was always me and you makin’ sure our cups were full, and that shit was allllways at least half full. To whommmm does this apply?! [=
I told you secrets nobody else knows…I love that I could confide in you.
Love, DB

Chris
You were something else. You’re such a great person, always looking out for others. Sometmes you tried too hard to make it known that you were helping others, but you didn’t have to because we already knew.
I will never forget how we became roommates. I was day drinking at the pool in Atlanta and came to my computer for a very short moment before lunch. I had a message from you asking to be roommates. It was either me and you or me and Azmir. From FB profiles I wanted you. …Then you without hesitation told me something about your personal life with which I was more than comfortable. I was immediately content with our roomie choices.
Then at orientation I saw you were tall, kinda nervous looking person. Then you stepped up to be a group leader. You didn’t need the title, because you were.
…Sooo, living with you. It was nice having your translation skills which were better than mine with Madre. Even though things were at times blew out of proportion... But, you almost always had my back, for that thank you. I'm still a little upset about what happened the last night in Madrid, but I'll get over it.

Dorothy
You were the absolute sweetest person on the entire trip. I don’t know if you had extra manner classes being homeschooled or if your parents are the most polite people ever. You truly did deserve your “Most consistent use of Spanish” award, because you always killed it. I still appreciate you and Sarah tomando sol conmigo en el parque and all the translation help you provided me; then, and throughout the entire trip. Never change who you are.
love, David

Alexis
You are such a fun person. I feel like we really connected towards the end of the trip. You’ve always got a smile on your face and a laugh that soon follows. You are absolutely gorgeous and just as intelligent so I know you’ve got a lot coming for you. I think you and Azmir would get married if he wasn’t already engaged, or whatever. I can’t wait to have our “Coming to America” party when we get back, Your pool, right?! [=
“He could get it!!!”

Yasminie
Ohhh Yasminie, I think you were the only person on the trip who drank more than I did! And that’s funny, since we took that Wine Drinking course together last semester. It was a blast talking up the trip and about everything to which we were looking forward. Buying our Discover Spain books was an awesome purchase. You by far went out the most of all the group members and spent the most of Daddy’s money$$€€. Speaking of, I hope your family has a blast in Granada and the rest of Spain when the visited at the end of the trip. Good luck in your internship when you return to America.

Lauren
You may have been the quietest person on the trip but that equates to how sweet you are. I never heard one negative thing from your mouth and it was awesome having you with us. I hope GSU treats you right when you start classes back and hopefully we'll run into each other soon!

Catherine
At first I was a little intimidated by you. You come off as a very power strong woman with always an intelligent thing to say. Even if 80% of what you say is about Stephen it’s still pretty entertaining. I felt like we bonded most when you asked me a question about my little sister and it rolled into a conversation about our whole families live stories. That was an awesome day walking through Granada and pasando el tiempe en el parque. I hope I see you again in Atlanta and CONGRATS in advanced on the preemptive engagement! Baha. I better get an invite to that wedding! [[=
Love, daahhveed

Michelle
Minerva! When I think about the fun we had it was trailing in the back of the group tour making blunt and outlandish comments about some of the bullshit we were witnessing. You are the pickest person I know and it's pretty freakin hilarious. [= At first I didn't think we would click too well but without a doubt we did! I'm sure you're sooo glad to be back in Atlanta with all of our precious commodities.
Ciao!

Taylor
We had a lot of good times and conversations thorough out the trip. We really clicked in the beginning talking about tattoos and doing crazy shit. One of my single most favored and remembered times in Spain was when me, you and Chris drank beer and downloaded music in the park while it was pouring down rain. That is my favorite shit to do and I'd love to park it up with you in Piedmont when we get back!

Autumn
You were hilarious. Always quick with your comments and quirky personality. It was fun listening to you tipsy-ramble while we were walking around the city, watching y'all buy shoes haha. I hope you and your boyfriend have fun in Barca over the next few weeks and you continue to rockout hard in Spain!

I know I've got a few more people to mention I will do it after my plane lands!
