Vamos A Granada - Discoteca en Madrid

5/29/2011 – 1:39 pm aka 23:39

Our huge, pretty ballin'your bus.
Back seat crew
So we’re on the bus riding from Madrid to Granada. It’s about a 4-5 hour ride. Even though we were out until 5:30 in the morning last night I am not very tired. Gabby, Chris, Taylor, Yasmine, Kara and I are holding down the back of the bus. (With periodic naps, of course) But for the most part we have been talking and enjoying each other’s company, those who aren't unfortunately getting carsick.
Chris PTFO
Our group is incredible. We are very unclickish and considerate of each others needs. If one person has to go to the ATM, we all go. We had cena (dinner) at this little restaurant only 1 block from the hotel.
We definitely had leftovers.
We then went back to the hotel and drank our 8 boxes of wine. Some people call it “crappy church wine”, we call it cheap and effective. We got a couple noise complaints but it was not of much concern. Chris losing his camera for 2 hours was worse (fail). But 22 guests staying together in one hotel on one floor, yeah we were runnin it.
Just like we were runnin´ the club last night.

The girls in the hotel.
The men here, but mainly just my roommate Chris and I are very protective of the girls. I mean with 3 guys and 18 girls it’s in our blood to watch out for them. The European men were extremely aggressive with them and we did not hesitate to tell them to step off. To be completely honest I was ready for one of them to do something so I could try out my MMA skills in this little club. We finally left around 5am and walked the city until returning to the hotel. A little post game action in a hotel room and some drinking of the mini-fridge beers then it was ready for bed…at 7am.
I'll pay! No, I'll pay! Typical in Spain

3:45. Just arrived in Granada.
Chris and I can already tell our house Madre is amazing. She has 2 sons who still live in the area. She is a very pretty woman who wants nothing but the best of care for us. We are in a great part of town directly from a large park.
We are blessed to have such a nice home. Without a doubt the largest condo of the host families…except which realllly sucks is that we don’t have internet. (I am currently forming a plan to either ask/pay the neighbors to use their WiFi of which we get strong signals…or to hack that chit)
Our BA Martini specialist
So after dinner, which we finished at 1 am, Chris and I embarked through the city to find a hotspot. We ended up in an extremely loud bar and had to buy a Fanta to use the internet until 3am. After it was not hard to fall asleep at all.

Facts:
All restaurant gratuity in inclusive to the original bill.
You can get out of paying tax in many places. (Still figuring out how, though.) **Figured out!
Granada is about 3x’s cheaper than Madrid.

It's almost impossible to get drunk here. You drink alcohol because...it's cheaper than water.

Questions:
How much are host families paid?
Can we have friends over at our casa’s? Even though we know we can’t drink there.

**It took 5 days to post all of this but here it is! Even without an internet connection I have still been writing every day...so more thorough posts to come! Thanks for reading.

Buena.
